Dissemination Seminar (Webinar)
Hong Kong Scales for Assessment of Theory of Mind (HKAToM)香港心智解讀測試

We are delighted to inform you that the Hong Kong Department of Health Child Assessment Service will be holding a dissemination seminar to introduce a new locally developed tool, Hong Kong Scales for Assessment of Theory of Mind (HKAToM)香港心智解讀測試. The scales are a locally developed, standardized and norm-referenced assessment tool, designed for understanding the social cognitive abilities of Cantonese-speaking children age 5 years to 12 years 1 month in Hong Kong.  The HKAToM is developed by Department of Health Child Assessment Service in collaboration with The University of Hong Kong.

The HKAToM is intended for use by developmental-behavioural paediatricians, paediatric neurologists, psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, educational psychologists and speech therapists working in the field of child development.  HKAToM users need to be experienced in testing young children, and trained in the understanding of child development and its deviations and disorders.  This seminar is organized to introduce the HKAToM to future users and stakeholders. Investigators will be presenting its conceptual framework, psychometric properties, domains of assessment and clinical applications. The procedures to apply for user eligibility and acquisition of the tool will also be announced.
