Course Objectives
On completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:
• Identify factors to consider prior to completing an analysis of a behaviour of concern
• List factors which contribute to behaviours of concern
• Objectively describe a range of behaviours of concern
• Define precipitating factors
• Describe reactions to behaviours of concern
• List the primary functions of behaviours of concern
• Identify environmental supports that will reduce the likelihood that behaviours of concern will occur
• Generate possible replacement behaviours which have the same function as the behaviour of concern
• Define reinforcement and describe a range of ways in which behaviour can be rewarded
• Describe the reasons that regular reviews of progress are essential
