SUMMARY:Evidence-based Approaches to Child Language Intervention : An overview
DESCRIPTION:Have you been thinking about alternative intervention approaches for the children with language and\ncommunication problems on your caseloads? As a profession\, can we describe for one another\, or\nparents and teachers and other interested individuals\, the intervention procedures or approaches that\nwe use?\nIn this talk\, Dr. Anita Wong and SLTs affiliated with the HKU Child Language and Speech Laboratory\n(CLAS) will present an introduction to the 13 intervention approaches described in the 85-page Clinical\nManual of Child Language Intervention they developed for teaching the HKU students in the last 2\nyears. An e-version of Manual will be disseminated to all SLT colleagues and students after the talk.\nIn the last 15 minutes of the talk\, the speakers will receive feedback\, answer questions and discuss\nways forward to evidence-based intervention practice for children with language disorders in Hong\nKong. \n  \nWebinar outline\n7:15 – 7:30pm : Registration\n7:30 – 8:45pm : Presentation\n8:45 – 9:00pm : Q&A session \n  \nEvidence-based Approaches to Child Language Intervention An overview (3)
