SUMMARY:Project ImPACT Advanced Course Hong Kong March 2025
DESCRIPTION:The webinar will be held over 4 days (March 1\, 2\, 8\, and 9th) from 8:30-12:00 Hong Kong Time. Please note this is a day earlier (February 28\, March 1\, 7\, and 8th from 4:30 pm-8:00 pm PST). \n\n \n\nPROJECT IMPACT:\n\nProject ImPACT is recognized as one of the most effective coaching programs for parents of young children (up to age 6) with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other social communication challenges. Research on parent mediated intervention for children with autism spectrum disorder and related social communication challenges shows that it is an effective treatment approach that leads to improvements for the child and family. Project ImPACT targets core skills in four areas of social communication: Social engagement\, communication and language\, imitation\, and play. It is a naturalistic developmental behavioral intervention\, or NDBI\, that uses evidence-based intervention strategies to promote the child’s social communication.\n\nProject ImPACT incorporates neurodiversity-affirming principles by focusing on skills that naturally lead to learning\, social connection\, and well-being\, promote autonomy\, and support coping and self-regulation. In addition\, Project ImPACT uses an individualized and strength-based approach\, naturalistic intervention strategies\, and collaboration with the family to ensure that intervention is tailored to the needs and preferences of the child.\n\n 	Participants will recieve access to the Beginner eCourse with registration to this workshop.\n 	Participants will receive an e-book copy of the curriculum\, Teaching Social Communication to Children with Autism\, Trainer and Parent manual set.\n 	This course is hosted by Ehrlich Tang. Project ImPACT is recognized as one of the most effective coaching programs for parents of young children (up to age 6) with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related social communication delays. Attendees will learn how to use the Project ImPACT Second Edition curriculum to teach parents of children with autism to promote social communication during daily routines and activities. Additional information regarding Project ImPACT via telehealth and research on use of Project ImPACT via telehealth has been added this workshop. Attendees will be able to share video of their direct in-person or telehealth sessions for feedback during the role play sessions if they choose.\n\nThe cost of the 4 day webinar with the Beginner eCourse is $675.00 and includes the online tutorial and eBook of the curriculum\, Teaching Social Communication to Children with Autism\, Trainer and Parent manual set.\n\nABOUT THE TRAINER:\n\nThis workshop will be conducted by Ehrlich Tang. Anna Dvortcsak co-developer and author of Teaching Social Communication to Children with Autism (Project ImPACT) will attend the workshop and be available for questions.\n\nEhrlich Tang is a speech therapist in Hong Kong who has worked in the field since 2009. He founded Enjoy Speech Communication Therapy & Consultancy in 2017 after working in school and pre-school settings. His clinic focuses on delivering Project ImPACT\, which belongs to the Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions (NDBI).\n\nEhrlich graduated from the University of Hong Kong\, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Speech & Hearing Sciences (Hon). He also earned a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education & Management\, and a postgraduate diploma in Training Development & Management\, and a certificate in Adult Education & Training\, all conferred by the Chinese University of Hong Kong.\n\nEhrlich is a certified Project ImPACT Coach (first in Hong Kong and SE Asia)\, he is completing his apprenticeship to become a certified Project ImPACT Trainer. Ehrlich primarily works with children aged 0 to 12 and has a strong passion for working with children having autism spectrum conditions and social communication impairments. Training parents to deliver evidence-based intervention in everyday activities is a primary focus for him and his practice.
