SUMMARY:The Asia-Pacific Babylab Constellation (ABC) Conference 2021
DESCRIPTION:The Asia-Pacific Babylab Constellation (ABC) is a community of researchers\, research postgraduate students\, and clinical practitioners working in the areas of communicative\, social\, and cognitive development in infants and young children in the Asia-Pacific region. Our mission is to provide a platform for collaboration among researchers from the Asia-Pacific region and international colleagues interested in research projects involving languages and cultures in the Asia-Pacific region. ​​ \nThe second ABC conference will be held at The Chinese University of Hong Kong\, Hong Kong SAR\, China from December 2 to 4\, 2021 in a hybrid format. This conference will focus on a wide range of topics in the area of acquisition and development of language and cognitive skills in typical and atypical populations\, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder\, Developmental Language Disorder\, Developmental Dyslexia\, and Hearing Impairment. We are seeking abstracts for oral and poster presentations. Abstracts outside of this year’s focus will also be considered. We welcome both complete and in-progress experimental and clinical research with infants\, toddlers\, and pre-school and school-age children using either group or single-case designs. \nThe three-day Conference will feature the following activities: \n\nKeynote sessions (in-person and online presentations)\nOral presentations (in-person and online presentations)\nInteractive poster presentations (pre-recorded presentations with online chat sessions)\nCareer development roundtable (online chat session)\n\nOur hybrid format gives attendees flexibility to plan their travels as they monitor the COVID-19 situation.
